Born in Devonport he served his apprenticeship with Davey, Sleep & Co. of Plymouth and joined White Star in 1907 when he was appointed as fifth engineer on the Teutonic. He spent all of his sea time aboard that ship until transferred to the Titanic. He lived in Southampton and left a widow and two children,
Born at Thetford, Norfolk. He served his apprenticeship at Portsmouth Dockyard before joining White Star as sixth engineer aboard the Oceanic in August 1907. Served aboard the Olympic before transfer to the Titanic. Held a second class engineer`s certificate and lived in Southampton. Left a widow but no children.
